Welcome to The Summit Federal Credit Union. We're committed to serving all your financial needs and to developing a solid relationship that will help you through every phase of your life.

The Summit Federal Credit Union was originally founded as the credit union serving the former Rochester Telephone Company employees and their families. The Summit received a charter from the federal government in 1941 and now serves the employees, family members and retirees of over 600 companies in New York State and across the country. Plus, individuals that live, work, worship, volunteer, or attend school within certain geographic areas can now also become members of The Summit Federal Credit Union.

We currently have nine full-service branch locations throughout Western New York, including: Brighton, Clarence, Delaware/Hertel, Greece, Henrietta, Hilton, Irondequoit, Penfield, and Seneca Falls. We invite you to get to know us better and learn about all the advantages that credit union membership offers.

The benefits of credit union membership
As a credit union, The Summit is a not-for-profit financial institution owned and operated exclusively by our members. There are no outside stockholders who require a return on their investment to drive up our operating costs. So, although we offer the same wide array of financial products and services as other financial institutions - we're able to offer you more benefits including lower fees, competitive loan rates, and higher dividends on your savings.

Because The Summit FCU is a federal credit union, we are chartered, insured and supervised by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the United States Government. Funds on deposit at The Summit FCU are insured up to a maximum of $100,000 per member. IRAs, and certain trust and other specialized accounts, are each insured separately by the NCUA up to an additional $250,000.
