Long Island Community Federal Credit Union is a financial cooperative that strives to provide our MEMBER-OWNERS with competitive and professional financial services in a friendly, courteous atmosphere, conveniently accessible for each MEMBER.

As a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative, Long Island Community Federal Credit Union is committed to our members. We will uphold our fundamental responsibility to actively serve people within our field of membership, and as appropriate, the communities they live in. We will treat all members with respect and dignity and we will offer honest, fair deals to all members at all times. We will deliver a range of low cost products and services to the diverse economic and social make-up of our members and potential members. We will look for better ways to reach out to the underserved in our field of membership. And we will continually, in all facets of operations, demonstrate the value of membership in Long Island Community Federal Credit Union.

We will monitor and communicate our service to members in a meaningful way so that members, potential members, legislators, regulators, and the community at large will understand and appreciate the unique role that member-owned financial cooperatives play in their lives.

History
Long Island Community FCU, formerly Hospital Employees FCU, has served our members since 1973, when the employees at St. Charles Hospital joined together to form St. Charles Hospital Federal Credit Union. During the years that followed other groups were granted and or requested membership access to the credit union and as a result we changed our name to Long Island Community Federal Credit Union to better represent the diverse group of people we serve.

We offer a wide array of products and services designed to meet the needs of our membership. All deposits are federally insured up to $100,000 per account by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). We pay competitive dividends and offer lower loan rates than most banks in the market.
