Banner Mortgage Group, Inc., a proud member of The Mid-Hudson Better Business Bureau, was established in 1992 by its President, Kenneth Polin, a former Manhattan securities investments attorney. Ken was born and bred in the New York Metropolitan area and holds two Law Degrees from The New York University School of Law, including a Master's in Taxation. Since 1993, the manager of Banner has been Lars Lerner, who has more than 15 years of experience as an originator, processor and mortgage underwriter. Together, Ken and Lars lead one of the area's top firms specializing in the placement of large residential and commercial mortgages.

No single lending institution can offer programs to meet everyone's needs. But because Banner conducts business with a vast array of sources--from the nation's leading banks to small community lenders--each client's transaction may be placed at an appropriate institution.

Banner receives discounts not available to the public; for example, many "zero point" programs are available by which Banner's commission is paid in full by the lender. Clients, in turn, receive counseling from mortgage experts whose allegiance is to their clientele, not any one institution, as well as today's very best rates.

Unlike most firms in the mortgage industry, Banner emphasizes the importance of prompt, personal service. Instead of all sorts of automated phone operations, Banner's phones are answered most days for more than ten hours by someone with whom you may speak. While your mortgage experience may include dealing with several different people within Banner, each client establishes at the outset one particular loan officer who will coordinate the handling of the application.
